971 / 973 (Use 258 Series Deadbolt Components) These interior Trim Packs are designed to be used with the following Kwikset Handlesets:

971 Interior Trim Pack - is compatible with 818 series handlesets which use a
single cylinder deadbolt that is operated with a key from the exterior and a thumbturn from the interior.
973 Interior Trim Pack - is compatible with 819 series handlesets which use a
dummy cylinder deadbolt that has no locking function.
Note: These interior trim packs are designed to be used exclusively with the 818 / 819 series handlesets. They will not properly work on any other series of handlesets.
