Kwikset Warranty

Mechanical & Finish Coverage: Both are covered for as long as the original purchaser occupies the home where the product was installed.

Electronics Coverage: Electronic components are covered for 1 year from purchase.

Authorized Seller Requirement: Warranty applies only to products purchased from Kwikset-authorized sellers (like Door Locks Direct); unauthorized purchases are not eligible.

Exclusions: No coverage for misuse, improper installation, chemical damage, commercial use, modifications, or mixing Kwikset with non-Kwikset trim; warranty is non-transferable.

Claims Process: Proof of purchase and defect description required; Kwikset may provide troubleshooting or replace the product and supplies a prepaid return label if a return is authorized.

Schlage Warranty

Mechanical & Finish Coverage: Most Schlage residential products include a Limited Lifetime Mechanical and Finish Warranty.

Electronics Coverage: Smart and electronic products carry a 3-year electronics warranty.

Original User & Authorized Seller Requirement: Warranty applies only to the original residential user, is non-transferable, and requires purchase from a Schlage-authorized seller (like Door Locks Direct).

Exclusions: No coverage for labor, normal wear, improper installation, misuse, environmental damage, commercial/common-area use, or Oil-Rubbed Bronze finish changes.

Schlage Remedy: Upon inspection, Schlage may replace with new/remanufactured product or refund the purchase price; customer must return the product with proof of purchase.
