JD80 Series One-Sided Deadbolt
The Schlage JD80 Deadbolt is a one-sided light duty deadbolt. It is specifically designed for rental property and to protect tenants from someone gaining access with a key. If the tenant is home and has this deadbolt locked, there is no way for anyone to gain access with a key (there is no cylinder on the exterior side). There is no exterior plate or exposed trim.

Mechanical & Finish Coverage: Both are covered for as long as the original purchaser occupies the home where the product was installed.
Electronics Coverage: Electronic components are covered for 1 year from purchase.
Authorized Seller Requirement: Warranty applies only to products purchased from Kwikset-authorized sellers (like Door Locks Direct); unauthorized purchases are not eligible.
Exclusions: No coverage for misuse, improper installation, chemical damage, commercial use, modifications, or mixing Kwikset with non-Kwikset trim; warranty is non-transferable.
Claims Process: Proof of purchase and defect description required; Kwikset may provide troubleshooting or replace the product and supplies a prepaid return label if a return is authorized.
