The Schlage B60 Single Cylinder Deadbolt is a premium security - Grade 1 deadbolt. Features include: easy installation, 1" throw deadbolt with a concealed hardened steel roller to prevent cutting or sawing the bolt. This deadbolt also comes standard with the door frame reinforcer, which significantly strengthens a wood jamb against kick-in attack and greatly increases the security effectiveness of the lock.

- This Knob function comes standard with an interior emergency exit feature (Model # F51A). From the interior, if the knob is in the locked position, you do not have to unlock the lock prior to rotating the knob to exit. The lock automatically unlocks when the knob is turned.

Locks for my new home
As someone who has grown up in the swinging door industry, I have developed preferences for certain brands and models of hardware. I have used Schlage locks on my homes for the past 40 years—25 years in my now former home—and they have performed flawlessly. The F series residential locks are far better than the counterparts from ANY other manufacturer.
The latest F51 includes an improvement that prevents users from accidentally locking themselves out. Rotating the inside knob, when the outside knob is locked, automatically UNLOCKS the outside knob. This is an improvement over the original F51 function that would allow users to open the door from the inside but the outside know would remain locked; users could find themselves locked out if they closed the door behind them. The current F51 function eliminates that problem.
All things being equal, I expect I get 25 years of good service from these new locks that I bought for my new home. -

Door locks
Purchased 4 sets of door knobs and dead bolt locks. All keyed the same, work great. Only difficulty I had was on the dead bolt, the door facing side, the hardware was larger than my existing. I used my old plate and it works perfect.
