Schlage / BE365 Camelot Keypad Deadbolt with Accent Passage Lever

Brushed/satin nickel looks great, doesn’t reveal wear and tear much like other finishes. Schlage is definitely a step up from cheaper hardware, and looks solid and well-designed. Levers are great for when your hands are full and need to get inside without dropping anything. They will also be good for anyone with hand/wrist problems like arthritis where rotating a knob or pressing a small thumb lever is difficult. We ordered several combinations of regular deadbolt + entry lever vs. keypad + dummy passthrough for our condo complex to upgrade door hardware on front and garage doors in each unit. The keypad impressed me in how simple it is to use, and how reliable the mechanism is, although it does take a few experiments to become accustomed to it. After you’ve used it a few times, you’ll definitely be happy you have it. It is easy to install provided you follow the instructions — they are clear and not complicated, but you need to pay attention to a couple of things as you install. The keypad is a bit large compared to traditional deadbolts we have on adjacent condo units, but are not unsightly and match the theme naturally. The code buttons are a bit small if you have huge fingers or shaky hands, but the lever mechanism is large and easy to turn, no matter the strength of your wrists and hands. DoorLocksDirect arranged for our 16-unit condo group to get identical keying on front door and garage door in a mix of combinations of keypads vs. traditiotional deadbolt /entry lever (2 or 3 or 4 cylinders total) — different for each separate condo unit. They were fast, helpful with labeling the matching units, and made no errors at all.
