The Schlage B62 Double Cylinder Deadbolt is a premium security - Grade 1 deadbolt. Features include: easy installation, 1" throw deadbolt with a concealed hardened steel roller to prevent cutting or sawing the bolt. This deadbolt also comes standard with the door frame reinforcer, which significantly strengthens a wood jamb against kick-in attack and greatly increases the security effectiveness of the lock.

- Double Cylinder deadbolts are typically used when there is glass within 3' of the door. A double cylinder prevents someone from breaking the glass and reaching through and opening the deadbolt from the inside. If you choose a double cylinder, have a plan to exit in case of an emergency - you will need a key to exit the house if the door is locked.

Mechanical & Finish Coverage: Both are covered for as long as the original purchaser occupies the home where the product was installed.
Electronics Coverage: Electronic components are covered for 1 year from purchase.
Authorized Seller Requirement: Warranty applies only to products purchased from Kwikset-authorized sellers (like Door Locks Direct); unauthorized purchases are not eligible.
Exclusions: No coverage for misuse, improper installation, chemical damage, commercial use, modifications, or mixing Kwikset with non-Kwikset trim; warranty is non-transferable.
Claims Process: Proof of purchase and defect description required; Kwikset may provide troubleshooting or replace the product and supplies a prepaid return label if a return is authorized.

Highly recommend for high security installations
I purchased this double cylinder deadbolt as a replacement for a cheaper Kwikset deadbolt. The old set never really had a "safe" feeling to it, plus the finish never survived during the pandemic after repeated wipes with an antibacterial wipe. I had long heard about Schlage's reputation for security and I was very impressed that this was a high security lock. I bought it paired with the matching locking handle. I was very impressed with the weight and feel of this deadbolt. I was also impressed that the screws that come with it that secure the strike plate are VERY long - reaching well into the solid framing of the house. Installation was a breeze. The instructions were well illustrated and the directions were step-by-step perfection. This deadbolt took me about 20 minutes to install (including routing the door frame hole slightly larger than the previous lockset). I highly recommend this deadbolt especially if you have a door with glass that's vulnerable to someone reaching in and turning a thumb screw-type deadbolt. Locking from both sides with a key adds tremendous security.
