The Schlage B62 Double Cylinder Deadbolt is a premium security - Grade 1 deadbolt. Features include: easy installation, 1" throw deadbolt with a concealed hardened steel roller to prevent cutting or sawing the bolt. This deadbolt also comes standard with the door frame reinforcer, which significantly strengthens a wood jamb against kick-in attack and greatly increases the security effectiveness of the lock.

- Double Cylinder deadbolts are typically used when there is glass within 3' of the door. A double cylinder prevents someone from breaking the glass and reaching through and opening the deadbolt from the inside. If you choose a double cylinder, have a plan to exit in case of an emergency - you will need a key to exit the house if the door is locked.

Mechanical & Finish Coverage: Both are covered for as long as the original purchaser occupies the home where the product was installed.
Electronics Coverage: Electronic components are covered for 1 year from purchase.
Authorized Seller Requirement: Warranty applies only to products purchased from Kwikset-authorized sellers (like Door Locks Direct); unauthorized purchases are not eligible.
Exclusions: No coverage for misuse, improper installation, chemical damage, commercial use, modifications, or mixing Kwikset with non-Kwikset trim; warranty is non-transferable.
Claims Process: Proof of purchase and defect description required; Kwikset may provide troubleshooting or replace the product and supplies a prepaid return label if a return is authorized.

Should have done this ages ago
Broke off 3 keys in a Master deadbolt I installed 20+ years ago. Hard to find double cylinders anymore which i wanted for my half glass antique door, specially in non standard finish. When my door knob started trying to eat my key, I went online after looking at local big box selections and not finding much in stock. I found a deadbolt and a knob, had them keyed differently and am very happy with the quality of both. I installed the deadbolt so I have one security measure that works, and it works flawlessly. Keys are high quality same brand - nothing like the big box version made from blanks. Cost less than I would have paid and saved me the effort of going to have spares made. Very happy with the service which included a phone call checking that I wanted them keyed differently and very fast shipping!

Rated "The Best Door Lock" by The Wirecutter
This is the double-keyed version of the Schlage B60N rated "The Best Door Lock" by The Wirecutter (NY Times) review dated Jan. 25th, 2021. The mechanism moves smoothly and is most appropriate for any that is door adjacent to a glass window. The two flat "caps" you can see in the photo cover the Phillips Head screws to make it harder to remove the lock with a screwdriver if someone tries to reach inside a broken window to do that. You can keep a key in it when you are home for a quick exit. See my review of the B60 for more details about this Schlage lock.
