The Kwikset 663RDT Contemporary Deadbolt is a one-sided standard duty deadbolt. It is specifically designed for rental property and to protect tenants from someone gaining access with a key. If the tenant is home and has this deadbolt locked, there is no way for anyone to gain access with a key (there is no cylinder on the exterior side).

- This deadbolt requires a 1-5/8” cross bore halfway through the door thickness only. If your door has been bored completely through the door, you will need to order a 663CRR (one-sided deadbolt) and 664 (blank plate).
