- While installing strike boxes behind strike plates definitely provides additional security against forced entry and a cleaner more professional look, it will require additional installation time. More wood may need to be removed from the door jamb for proper installation.
- This strike box provides maximum protection against door kick-in attacks. The center of this strike box has a hole drilled for an additional screw for added security.

Fabulous Kwikset Deadbolt Strike Box
This Kwikset Deadbolt Strike Box worked perfectly with my Kwikset SmartKey Deadbolt locks. It took me less than an hour to replace three existing deadbolt strike plates with these strike boxes. The screws (3) that came with this strike box were substantial and added to the security upgrade of this component. This is a fabulous security upgrade everyone should consider doing for their home- the best $3 you can spend on home security in these trying times. I wished I had learned about this product 22 years ago.
