Excellent Do-It-Yourself Lock
I needed to replace the front door lock for a 2 inch thick exterior door and didn't want to have to carry an extra key. I was prepared to take apart locks and swap cylinders or replace pins, but this was so much easier. I bought the thick door pack to match the lock, then used the smart key to repin the lock to match my current key. It took about 15 seconds to repin the lock and less than five minutes to pull out the old lock and put in the new. Job done.
Helpful to know... Doorlocks direct took care of installing two parts, extensions, from the thick door pack (TDP) onto the lock. The TDP also has extra-long screws, but with the the TDP extensions the regular size screws were long-enough.
